Periodic Review Oversight Committee (PROC)

A joint committee of the Academic Senate and administration, the Periodic Review Oversight Committee supports and advances UC Merced's educational and institutional effectiveness and organizational learning through its campuswide advisory and oversight responsibilities for academic and administrative assessment, both periodic and annual.

The purpose of the academic program review process is to improve the quality of academic units and to assist in determining a program’s ability to respond to future challenges and opportunities. In addition, the review process strives to evaluate strengths and weaknesses, and thus, define future priorities in the program’s development plan.
